Applesauce

On Wednesday and Thursday of this past week we made applesauce!  The kids were so excited!  Thanks to the Farm Bureau for organizing the activity and the MASH FFA Students for helping us cook!  The kids loved to smell the apples cooking and mash them through the food mills.  Here are a few fun pictures from our special activity!  Thanks to all of the parents for sending in apples for us to use!

Hello Pre-K Families,
Sorry it has taken me a bit to get the blog up and running this year.  I hope you have checked out the tabs on top and have found some useful information as well as fun games for your children to play at home!  These are the themes and letters we will be covering for the rest of September:

September 23-26 : Five Senses and the letter "Yy"

• On Wednesday and Thursday of this week we will be having School Spirit Days to celebrate Medford’s Homecoming.  Wednesday is Favorite Sport Day - students can wear their favorite sport shirt or jersey.  We will also be attending the Pep Assembly at Raider Field from 2:00-2:20 P.M.  Thursday is Rock and Roll Day - music will be played during lunch.  Go Raiders!!

September 30-October 3 : Fire Safety and the letter "Ff"

REMINDERS:

·   We will continue to attend Library on Monday's and Tuesday's.  Please remember your child will need to return his/her book before a different library book may be checked out.

·  Early Release Day is this Thursday, September 26^th.

**Students will be dismissed from school at 1:52 P.M.

·   It’s getting colder outside!  Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately as we go outside each day.

Looking Ahead:

·    Next week our theme will be “Fire Safety”.  We will have two special visitors from the Fire Department on Monday, September 30^th and Tuesday, October 1^st!

·    Parent/Teacher Conferences are on Monday, October 14^th as well as Friday, October 18^th. If you haven’t signed up for a conference time and would like to, please contact your child’s teacher.

·    “Families Being Involved” workshop: We have started planning our first “FBI” event.  It will be held on Friday, October 18^th in the morning.  More information is in your child’s folder today!
